Chapter One -  Minds and Technology

In Today's era, technology is rapidly increasing at such a fast pace. This is disruptive for human beings who are materialistic. It is surprising to see so many people fall under this category too.

Think about it: "There is always going to be something better being created the next second". If you keep going after these things one after the other, you will never be able to live a happy and peaceful life. It is always going to be a barrier between you and happiness.

Now, you may ask the question: "How can we stop this?"

The answer is pretty simple but may take years for some to understand. We must still try to take one step at a time.

You can overcome this by having control over your minds. If you don’t have control over your minds, your happiness will always be temporary. Those who are in such state usually live a life of action and reaction. It is very harmful and most suicides happening all over the world is because of the same reason.

It is good that the technology, these external assets are improving and trying to use the best resources available.

But we must know when to draw the line. What we need now and at this very moment is to build and focus on your internal assets - The 'Mind' and 'Heart'.

There must be a balance between the internal and external assets, else you will fall. Humanity on a larger scale will fail.

Having control over your minds is no easy task. It’s sort of a Super Computer which can be handled only by you.

The best part is you cannot hire somebody else to modify or debug these thoughts. You are the sole proprietor, the CPU which must distinguish between the good and bad ones, then decide whether they go in a folder or the recycle bin. It is very important to practice this even before speaking or acting it out.

In other words, the famous quote which most of you must have heard "Think before you speak or react".

I understand that it is not practically possible to achieve what I have just said in a fortnight. Instead, what I am asking you all is to take baby steps one at a time. There will be a point in your life what I call as the realization point when you will start to find some peace and this immense internal energy within you. Once this is found, then there is no going back. You will exponentially start growing and reaping the benefits it comes with which is true happiness unaltered by any external activities.

And just imagine the difference you will create in yourself, in the society and in this world by doing so.
